On October 25, 2025, a solemn and joyful celebration took place at the Holy Spirit Major Seminary, where six seminarians received the Ministry of Lectorship. The Holy Mass was presided over by Reverend Father Paul Gomes, the Rector of the Seminary.

During the Eucharistic celebration, Fr. Gomes reminded the candidates of the sacred responsibility entrusted to them as lectors — to proclaim the Word of God faithfully and to deepen their love for the Scriptures. He encouraged them to live out the Word they proclaim and to be true witnesses of Christ in their studies, prayer, and community life.

The six seminarians who received the Ministry of Lectorship were: 1. Afsos James Snal (Ranikhong Parish) 2. Arnab Justine Halder (Dharenda Parish) 3. Joy John Tripura (Khadim Parish) 4. Joyanto Crowley Cruze (Foilzana Parish) 5. Methuselah E. Karmaker (Bappi) (Patherghata Parish) and 6. Subas Peter Tripura (Bandarban Parish)

The rite of institution marked an important step in the seminarians’ journey toward priestly formation. Surrounded by their formators, professors, and fellow seminarians, the newly instituted lectors expressed gratitude to God and to all who accompany them in their vocation.

The celebration concluded with heartfelt congratulations and joyful fellowship, marking a memorable milestone in the life of the seminary community.
